Wines Unlimited offers wine courses, wine tastings for everyone from the absolute beginner learning purely for pleasure, to those with a more serious perhaps career-based interest.

With over a decade of experience (established at 1998), Wines Unlimited offers a unique approach to wine education. The unparalleled expertise of Sander Salburg allied to his  friendly, informal style really does set us apart from the competition. All our courses and events are intended and designed to be enjoyable as well as informative.

Salburg is a Register Vinoloog, or Registered Wineologist and an experienced  wine teacher, wine buyer who keeps his knowledge up to date by many wine trips, studies, tastings and additional master classes. He understands though that expertise is not everything and with all his lessons, he communicates his passion for wine to pass on knowledge, whatever your level is.

Events and Training
We are experienced at organizing bespoke wine events to suit your budget and requirements, whether for private or corporate entertainment. Please call us or see our website for more information. Staff training (restaurant, bar or retail) is also available and can be tailor-made to suit your company’s needs.

One Day Workshops
Our fun and informative One Day Wine Workshops run at Sundays, throughout the year are great for wine lovers. Find more detailed information about these specialized workshops at our website. For example the Luxury Wines workshop. Some may be tutored by an expert guest speaker or visiting winemaker and will explore a region or subject in-depth. All workshops include cheese or food and wine matching the theme. Professional tasting glasses and course notes are provided for all workshops.

Wine Courses (8 evenings)
These structured classes follow the systematic approach to wine tasting and cover all the main grape varieties, styles and regions of the world. Most wines are tasted “blind” or unseen so that you learn to judge the quality of a wine on merit, without any preconceptions. We aim to give you the tools to understand the wines that you are drinking and the knowledge to experiment with new styles and buy with confidence. Production methods, ageing potential, food matching, storage conditions, wine faults and other important issues are covered on all courses. Lessons from 19:30 upto 22:30 hours.

The course will take place in the wine cellars of Wijnkoperij de Hermitage and Wines Unlimited, according to the agenda set out our website (group 10)

The course shall finish with a examination on the final evening, followed by a festive closure.

The enrolment fee of € 550 includes:

• Study materials
• All wines to be tasted (each evening, some 10+ wines relevant to that evening’s subject will be tasted. The course puts an important emphasis on “wine in practice,” attuned to current consumption in the Netherlands)
• WSET Level 2 systematic approach
